Embracing Automation: Streamline Your Practice

A common question I receive is how to implement a recall program without staff. As a pediatric and prenatal chiropractor, I value maintaining a personal connection in my automation. 

Here’s how you can create an effective recall program:

• Weekly Wellness Texts: Every Sunday afternoon, I send a personal, encouraging text to all active practice members, reminding them of my availability for the week. 
• Monthly Reports: Once a month, pull an unscheduled patient report from your EHR program, tag these patients, and set up a sequence of actions based on their responses. 
• Initial Contact: Tag patients who haven’t scheduled recently. Send a text asking them to respond with a 1 to schedule, a 2 to continue their break, or a 3 to be removed from the list. 
• Follow-Up Actions: Based on their responses, set up automated follow-ups. A 1 triggers a link to your scheduling page, a 2 starts an educational sequence, and a 3 begins a nurturing sequence. 
• Consistent Engagement: Engage with non-responders a week later with a second follow-up text, maintaining a balance between connection and respect. 

By thoughtfully embracing automation, you can focus on what truly matters: providing exceptional care to your practice members.
